Nestled high in the idyllic district of San Giacomo, Hotel Ansitz Jakoberhof offers a splendid escape, which I had the pleasure to enjoy over New Year's with a few close friends. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff, especially the gentleman at the reception, made us feel right at home. Each morning brought breathtaking views of the Sassolungo while indulging in an ample buffet breakfast that was an adventure for the taste buds - the salads and local cheeses were particularly memorable. As a wildlife conservationist, I truly appreciated how the hotel embodies the serene essence of the Dolomites, offering trails for exploration right at our doorstep. After a day of hiking, the spa facilities provided a perfect sanctuary with a range of therapeutic massages that rejuvenated our spirits for another day of adventures. Hotel Ansitz Jakoberhof has become one of my top recommendations for those seeking both relaxation and connection with nature in this UNESCO World Heritage site.
